Boo Event Drive Thru Trick or Treat Guidelines
The Peterborough Recreation Department is looking for ghouls and goblins to participate in a fun trick or treat opportunity this Halloween Season! This is a drive through Trick or Treat event. We are very excited to offer a quazi-traditional Halloween event while practicing safe fun for our community in a COVID-19 restricted environment. This will be quite a group effort.
Trick or treat is the main event, but if you want to have your picture taken – we can do that also, come about 15 minutes earlier than your reserved trick or treat time slot. The pictures will take place in the PHOTO parking lot prior to entering the TREATS parking lot complex where the actual trick or treat will be held.

Date: Halloween, Saturday, October 31st, 2020
Time: 2:45 to 5:30pm for photos
3 to 6pm, tour Trick or treat stations
Locations: 9 Vose Farm Road at the Vose Farm Business Center (for pictures, if interested)
49 Vose Farm Road at the Vose Farm Business Center (for trick or treat)
Before going to the treats parking lot, if you are interested in having your picture taken against a Halloween backdrop, please leave a little earlier than your reservation time. A picture will be taken and posted on our Facebook page (Peterborough Rec). You may copy your picture from our Facebook page. Those who do not want their picture on the Facebook page can by-pass this aspect and go straight to the TREATS parking lot, located at 49 Vose Farm Road at the Vose Farm Business Center.

How to register: Register at the bottom of this page (beginning at 8:30am on Wed. Oct. 21st).
Each registration is for a single vehicle. You will be asked how many children will be trick or treating in your car.
You may also register by calling us at 924-8080 (beginning at 8:30am on Wed. Oct. 21st) and we will get your carload registered, along with the number of kids in the vehicle. We are offering 11 time slots that can accommodate 15 vehicles at a time. These 11 time slots will be offered at 15-minute intervals. If you miss your interval because of pictures, please do not worry – we will still get you in! Families can register for a time slot starting October 21st, ending October 30th, at noontime.
To participate in these activities, we need to be sure the following guidelines and recommendations are met.
- If you are not feeling well, have a fever or show any cold like or respiratory symptoms, please stay home. Keep our community, friends, and family safe!
- Trick or treaters need to bring their own pumpkin or bag to receive goodies in.
- All participants must wear clean face masks for the duration of the event. Make it fun. Make it part of your costume. Bring along some alcohol-based hand sanitizer to use during the event.
- You must remain 6 ft away from other participants during the event. The station supervisors will be thinking of creative ways to get the treats to you while maintaining social distancing. We will see what fun ideas they come up with!

If you are coming in one car, you only need to make one reservation, no matter how many children will be trick or treating. The registration is for your family's vehicle. You will be able to indicate the number of children trick or treating in your vehicle.
