Cunningham Pond and Adams Pool will both be open this summer!
Cunningham Pond is now open!
Stickers are required for parking in the lot from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend,
regardless of whether you will be swimming, boating, fishing or picnicking.
Residents may get their stickers by mail or in person at the PRD office, 64 Union St.
During weekdays, pond reservations are not necessary.
Reservations are highly recommended for Sat/Sun visits.
Reservations can be made online here or by calling the office at 924-8080.
Reservations cost $1 and are non-refundable and non-transferable to a different date.
Reservation slots will open each Monday at 8:30am for the upcoming weekend.
Reservations close at 3:00pm each Friday.
Drive-ins will be allowed if there is room.
We will keep the reservation list visible throughout the weekend,
so you can see the remaining available "seats" (unreserved parking spots)
and decide whether to take a chance on driving in without a reservation.
If it feels crowded, the gate staff may ask those without reservations to wait to enter until someone else departs.
For the 2021 season, we are using the blue 2020 parking stickers that were never issued last year.
We need to see the car’s registration slip with a photo ID when you pick up your sticker.
If your car’s registration is not in Peterborough, you need to bring something that proves you reside in Peterborough.
The first vehicle per household receives a free sticker. Each additional sticker for that household is $10/vehicle.
Please bring cash or a check (made out to the Town of Peterborough) with you if you need to purchase additional stickers.
Each sticker is assigned to one specific vehicle. We need the license plate # of each vehicle you are stickering.
You are welcome to come inside the Recreation Dept. office (64 Union St.) for stickers any weekday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Residents may obtain their pond stickers in two ways:
1) By Mail: Mail a self-addressed and stamped envelope along with a copy of your car’s registration to us at 64 Union St, Peterborough, NH 03458.
Please provide a phone number or email, in case we need to reach you with a question.
We can issue you a sticker and mail it back to you.
2) In Person: Stickers may be obtained indoors any time our office is open: weekdays 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The office is located at 64 Union Street, next to the ball fields.
Adams Pool will be open from the afternoon of June 17th (last day of ConVal schools) through mid-August.
Residents may renew previous years' pool passes, or may pre-purchase visits with our new punch pass system.
Non-residents may purchase visits with the punch pass system.
Daily Admission (for those who do not want multiple visits) will be $2/resident; $8 non-resident.
Reservations are not needed on weekdays, unless we are expecting extreme heat.
Reservations are highly recommended for Sat/Sun visits and can be made under Programs: Pool Reservations (weekends only).
or by calling the office 924-8080 weekdays 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Reservations close at 3pm each Friday.
Pool pass and Punch Pass information can be found under Memberships.
More information about both facilities can be found here
as well as in this brochure and FAQ document.
Peterborough's Recreation Committee meets regularly on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM.
This is a public meeting to which town residents are invited. Meetings are held under the pavilion in Adams Park, weather permitting.
The bad weather indoor location is the meeting room adjoining the Recreation office at 64 Union Street.
Members of the public may submit agenda item requests to the Recreation Committee Chair up to two weeks before each monthly meeting.
Please call the Recreation Department at 924-8080 for the Chair's contact information.
More information and PRC meeting minutes can be found here.
Adams Playground is open to the public.
1) The area is not cleaned outside of normal measures and it is not sanitized. Cautiously play at your own risk.
2) Hand sanitizing stations are at the three entrances.
3) If you are not feeling well, please do not come and play. Wait until you feel better - for your sake as well as for the sake of others.
4) Face masks are highly recommended. Wear one when social distancing is not possible.
5) Stay at least 6 feet away from others when possible.
6) If it looks like it is getting crowded, please come back on another day/time.
7) Caregivers are responsible for supervising children and making sure guidelines are followed.
8) Please wash hands before and after playing at the Playground.
9) Bring your own water bottles for the water fountains have been disconnected due to COVID-19.
10) Face masks are mandatory when using the public restrooms across the street from the playground.
Have fun, enjoy - but please keep the guidelines in mind and be safe.
We URGE you and all your family members to follow social distancing guidelines
to keep our community healthy!
