Forest Bathing
Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku)
Ever wonder why you feel so good after you've spent time outdoors?
Inspired by the popular Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, Forest Bathing is scientifically proven to boost immunity, regulate blood pressure, reduce stress, increase creativity and improve focus. Beyond these physiological changes, Forest Bathing also offers the opportunity to deepen our relationship with the natural world.  Forest Bathing is a slow and mindful wander in the woods with a trained guide who shares invitations designed to open each of the senses and create space for connection and interactive experiences with the forest.

Laura Putnam, RN and Forest Therapy Guide will offer a series of skillfully crafted invitations which support participants in finding their own authentic way of interacting with the land. There’s no right or wrong way to do it and all are welcome, regardless of fitness level. Forest Bathing is not a hike, in fact there is no physical destination. **Total walking distance is less than 1/4 mile. The entire program takes place outdoors and we will practice social distancing.
