Fall Ball - Youth Softball
We're looking for girls that want to play softball this fall!
Program Description
Join us for Fall Ball, where girls can play softball in a fun, recreational environment to keep their skills strong and stay active. For this program we remain in our spring league, the Souhegan Valley Girls Softball League which consists of: Bedford, New Boston, Wilton, New Ipswich, Merrimack, Hollis-Brookline, Milford, and Amherst. This program is a little less intense than spring softball; there are usually only 1-2 practices per week, a game each Saturday, and no playoffs. This program is perfect for brand-new beginners because there is not a huge time commitment and it's mostly for FUN! If your child missed out on our teams in spring 2026 or has heard the buzz and wants to play, this is a great way to try out the sport! Travel will be required and there is a possibility that games could be in ANY of the towns listed above.
We will need coaches for any teams we can field. Coaches must be background checked and the cost of their child's registration will be waived. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate so on your registration or email jchidester@peterboroughnh.gov!
Logistics:
Where: Practices at 64 Union Street, games in Peterborough or any of the towns listed above
When: August 29 - October 31 (skip Labor Day and Columbus Day weekends)
Times: 1-2 weeknight practices TBD by coach availability and games on Saturdays
Ages: 6U/8U, 10U, 12U, 14U/16U (age cut-off is September 1, 2026)
Cost:
6U/8U: $75/resident, $85/non-resident
10U/12U/14U/16U: $85/resident, $95/non-resident
Additional Information:
- Please provide your daughter with a glove, sneakers or cleats, a fielding face mask, gray softball pants, and tall black socks. If you cannot provide these items, please reach out to the Recreation Department!
- If you would like to be an assistant coach, we will cover your background checks but not your child's registration.
- If you know of anyone who can be an umpire, please notify the Program Coordinator at jchidester@peterboroughnh.gov.
