ConVal Cal Ripken is back!
*This registration is for Peterborough, Sharon, Dublin and Temple residents only.* All other players must be registered with the Cal Ripken representative in their own town,even if that town is unlikely to have enough participants to field their own town team. The town representative will make sure all children are assigned to a team. If you are from another town and would like to know with whom you should register, we can share that info with you if you call us at 603-924-8080 or email jchidester@peterboroughNH.gov
The dates that dictate what division the registered child plays in is determined by their date of birth...between the month of May to the end of the following April. This is especially important in the older age groups.
- T-ball is offered for those between 5 and 6 years of age, born between May 1, 2019 and April 30, 2021.
- Rookies is offered for those between 7 and 8 years of age, born from May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2019.
- Minors, for those between 9 and 10 years of age, born from May 1, 2015 to April 30, 2017.
- Majors, for those between 11 and 12 years of age, born from May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2015.
If our registration system is telling you that your child is the incorrect age for the division you are certain is correct, please contact us and we can override the age issue for you.
COACHES NEEDED: This program cannot happen without coaches! Please inquire by emailing jchidester@peterboroughnh.gov. Local, state, and federal background checks as well as two brief online trainings are required. We will be able to offer one free registration for your help.
UMPIRES NEEDED: Please inquire by emailing jchidester@peterboroughnh.gov. Pay is $50 per game.
Registration deadline for Minors & Majors: Monday, March 9th, 11:59pm*
Registration deadline for T-Ball and Rookies: Friday, April 10th, 11:59pm*
*If you register after these deadlines a spot cannot be guaranteed.
Logistics:
Games & Practices:
T-Ball: Games primarily Wednesdays & Saturdays, usually no practices
Rookies: Games primarily Wednesdays & Saturdays + 1 weeknight practice
Minors: Games primarily Tuesdays & Saturdays + 1-2 weeknight practices
Majors: Games primarily Mondays & Saturdays + 2 weeknight practices
Season: All divisions begin games around the first week of May. Season ends in mid-June.
Where: Practices are in or around Peterborough 1-2x per week depending on the age group. Away games take place in nearby towns. The Major and Minor players also participate with the Kearsarge Mountain League.
Additional Information:
- Registration includes a T-shirt or jersey.
- Please provide your child with gray pants, navy socks, and a glove. If you need help providing these items for your child, please reach out to the recreation office at 603-924-8080.
