It's basketball time!

*These are NOT final practice times for the season...simply skill & drill time while registrations continue to come in. You will receive coach name/practice schedule no later than Sunday, Dec. 1st.
*Our 3rd and 4th grade girls' team is currently full. Please register all 3rd and 4th graders to the wait list, and we will move boys and girls off the wait list accordingly. We will make a second girls' team if enough girls register.
We are in the Souhegan Valley League which is comprised of Wilton, Rindge, Hollis/Brookline, New Ipswich, Amherst, and Milford. This is NOT the same league that Antrim is in.
This year basketball our intent is to develop players while allowing 3rd-6th grade players the opportunity to play in a league. Youth basketball will be offered for Pre-K, Kindergarten, and first through sixth grade. Pre-K and Kindergarten will be our Lil' Dribblers program and will run in two four-week sessions with a bad weather makeup session. First through sixth grade will be broken into teams and will focus on player development as well as competition in the Souhegan Valley Youth Basketball League. The regular season will be approximately 10 weeks. Kids cannot play for the school team and the league.
This year will follow a similar format to previous seasons for 3rd-6th grade. For the first 2-3 weeks of the season, each grade group will come together for skills and drills so the coaches can get to know the kids and assess their skills. Then, balanced teams will be created. Starting December 2nd, 3rd-6th grade players will start with their teams and will stay with for the remainder of the season. Please note that we have created the same registrations for girls and boys for 3rd-6th grade. We WILL separate boys and girls if there are enough players to do so.
HELP NEEDED!
It takes a village to run a good program. We will need help! Head coaches, assistant coaches, scoreboard keepers, book keepers, and referees. Referees will be paid $50 per game. One head coach and one assistant coach from each team will be paid the cost of one child's registration upon completion of the season and return of keys. All coaches must have satisfactory local, state, and federal background checks completed by the Town. If you are interested in helping with the program, please fill out this form to express interest.

Grades 1 & 2: Mondays 5:30-6:30pm & Saturdays 10:15-11:15am @ Peterborough Community Center
Grades 3 & 4: 2 weeknight practices & games on Saturdays
Grades 5 & 6: 2 weeknight practices & games on Saturdays
Ages: Pre-K through 6th grade
Cost for Little Dribblers: $40 per session
Cost for 1st/2nd Grade: $65 for season
Cost for 3rd/4th Grade: $70 for season
Cost for 5th/6th Grade: $80 for season
Cost for 7th-9th Grade: TBD until we know if we have a team
Expectations:
- Balls will be provided
- Mouth guards are optional
- Players will need comfortable clothes and a water bottle
- a T-shirt or jersey is included in the registration fee
